    Hello,

I use Outlook Express for my e-mail and have 4 different acounts, one for each person in the house, but all of the e-mail goes to a certain account if you log in to that account first.

I will asign each account a number, for clearity. They will be account 1, 2, 3, and 4. Got it? Okay.

If I open account 1 first, to check for e-mail, it will take all incoming mail from account 1, 2, 3, and 4. If I open any other account it will only take the incoming mail for that account (like it is supposed to).

My problem is that account 1, if opened first, will steal everyone elses mail (if there is any). My Question is, how do I stop this and set up my OE so that each account gets only their own mail?

Ugh, I hate explaining things. I hope that makes sense.

    My Specs:

    Pentium 4
    2.00 GHz
    384 RAM
    Windows XP Home Version 2002
    Service Pack 1
    Outlook Express 6

    Any help would be appreciated.

Can you set up a new sub account, #5, just for yours, and have all of yours sent to that?

No. The Number 5 account would be just like 2, 3, and 4. Account number 1 would get # 5's if # 1 was opened first.

There must be an option to set everything normal. I just can't find it.

Yes, under mail rules you can designate that the mail stays on the server after you download it.

I guess I should have posted how I fixed the problem. :D Well...

When I was frustrated, looking throught each account trying to see what was different, I actually found the answer to my problem.

I logged in, went to Tools, Accounts, and clicked on the tab that said "Mail". In the Account #1 Account Listing, every account was listed. I didnt' think anything of it until I did the exact same thing in the other accounts. In the other accounts, 2-4, only the specific account I was logged into was listed. You follow me so far? Good.

In the Account #1 Account Listing I just deleted every account except #1. That way #1 will only get #1's mail.

I hate explaining confusing things. I hope you all understand what I wrote. :D
