An experiment with video out to av!

OK dug out a video out to av adaptor and trying to see if i can play my ps2/xbox out through my pc. Connected the av picture lead (yellow) to the adaptor, and was wondering if there's any software that would allow this.
I know it's a video out port so it may not work, so what can I use this video out port for instead??

I wasn't sure whether to put this in hardware or software, but as I'm asking for software...

 

You can plug it into a TV. Or a camcorder
