I am running XP PRO and have stumbled upon somthing that seems to have stopped working in IE6 SP1. I really do not use the feature much so I do not know exactly when it croaked, just need it now. Heres what is happening:

I have open any program like Yahoo messanger, e-mule, or any number of programs that are supposed to spawn a browser session when you click a button on them (ex:profile in yahoo messanger or test ports button in e-mule) nothing happens at all, no error or nothing. If I have a browser window open still nothing. I have tried to run the SP1 install again but it says that a newer version is already on and refuses to proceed. I have tried going to the add/remove and repair and even remove SP1 but it does not help. The only thing that is different now is that it says that it is not my default and would I like to make it so, to which I respond YES, but next time launched it asks again. Is there somthing anyone knows that can be done with thing? Perhaps a way to truely remove IE? I thought that somewhere a few years back there was a settlement with Microshaft where they had to make it removeable as it is just a browser. Thanks all;-)
