AN8 and Dual Channel....

There is 4 slots on this board for DDR and dual channel is active when i put memory module in slot 1 and slot 2. I try to put modules in slot 1 and 3 but then memory work in single channel. Is this correct ?

 

Check the manual.... The correct dual channel setup may be 1 and 4, 2 and 4, 1 and 3, 1 and 2, 2 and 3 it could be any....

 

If you have your memory in 1+2 and upon boot your comp reports your memory in dual channel,its running in dual channel

It isnt necessary but if you want to be sure run a sandra memory bandwidth test,with your memory in dual channel you will recieve a noticeably higher score
