" and @ keys swapped !

I occasionally use a laptop which has the " and @ keys swapped about from how they are marked on the (conventional) keyboard. I can't figure out how to swap them back - I have tried using CP > keyboard and CP > Regional and Language but have not found anything.

The OS is Windows XP

Can anybody help me to change this annoying property ??

UK = Shift+2 = "
US = Shift+2 = @

 

Thank you for answering me. I'd figured that out. What I meant was how do I change them to what's on the keyboard (@=@, "=") 'permanently', (I don't mean irreversibly) using something like 'select keyboard = UK'. I realise that in principle it makes no difference, but I find it slightly annoying !

Thank you sach, I'll look into this with your info when I get on that PC next.
btw, I think shft 3 = £, shft 4 = $ on that machine and rebooting doesn't make any difference.

IBM T41 - Win XP

 

Just in case you have any difficulty finding these settings in XP -

Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages tab, Details button

Select English UK on the dropdown, remove the US keyboard, add the UK keyboard

 

-> Earthling
