This is a tiny annoyance I would like to fix.
The home button is at the bottom of the screen in the center. I am always touching it by accident. So for example if I am composing a text message, I may inadvertently touch the home button and the text app disappears.

Is there a way to move the home button from the bottom of the screen in the center to the bottom of the screen at the extreme right or left of the screen? This would decrease the chance that I would touch the button by mistake.

The answer is easy - switch to swipe gestures. Problem solved!!!

I can't find a way to change the location of the home button from the middle of the navigation bar. You can swap the back and recent apps buttons but that's it.

A workaround I can offer is to remove the buttons and go with swipe gestures. That means every time you want to get back to the home screen, you'd swipe up because there is no longer a nav bar onscreen.
Open settings, then display then Navigation bar and select swipe gestures instead of buttons.
