animated desktop icon

I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to animate a single desktop icon. I downloaded and installed Spyware Blaster unpaid version) onto a friend's pc (Win XP Home Ed) and would like to find a way to remind her to manually update the definitions for it.

I thought if I could animate the icon for S'ware Blaster, say every 4-5 hrs. or so, she might take the hint to check for new definition updates at least once a wk.

I didn't know if this is possible to do, or if someone out there has a more obvious way to remind her to ck. for new defs. occasionally.

Not afraid to dabble in RegEdit if that's what it takes.

Use the Task Scheduler. Type a reminder for her in Notepad and set the scheduler to open the reminder note once a week. All she'll need to do is close the note and update. You could even schedule Spywareblaster to open up too, so your friend gets the hint.
