Animated gif images are moving more quickly in Firefox than in Internet Explorer.

Animated gif images move much more quickly in Firefox than in Internet Explorer and the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, which seem to display them at the correct speed.
Can this be fixed in Firefox?

 

Have you updated your FireFox Flash recently? Java also...

 

I have and they appear to be the current versions.

 

Java should be 6 update 13. This easy online scanner will tell you what you run: http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

Flash should be 10.0.22.87.

The latest FireFox came less that a month ago.

I did a check with Secunia PSI but the problem still exists.

 

Are you referring to a live website or to files on your computer? If a live website, what is it?
