I run WinME on a Gateway PC. I use AOL mostly but also IE. I keep getting this auto disconnect box popping up which asks me to stay connected or disconnect but it doesnt matter what I click I still stay online, its just annoying. How can I get rid of it. Could u also look at my attached hijack log. Thanx.

When the Auto Disconnect panel appears on your desktop, place a check mark in Never idle disconnect this connection.

Does it do it all the time or after you leave for 20 mins or so?

Try going to your Network connections right clicking on your Dial up connection...Properties....Options.."Idle before hanging up" and put it on "never" the disconnect and reconnect

You might need to look at the Auto Disconnect pop-up again. You should be given the option “Don’t use Auto Disconnect” which you want to check and then click “Stay Connected".

Are you using your default web browser or an alternate?

I'm having the same problem as I do not have Google Chrome set up as my default browser. Firefox is my default.

Hi, this thread is very old and it's unlikely the OP still needs aid on the issue. Make sure you check the dates on threads. :)
