   After I do something in Gmail, like send a message, this black box pops up in the lower left corner, and tells me that I just sent a message. Well, duh, I know that. I know, it is a minor thing, but it annoys the hell out me! How do I make it stop?

   I get around this as I use Gmail in an email client such as Outlook ( I use Outlook 365) but you can also use Mozilla Thunderbird which is free and pretty good.
