annoying login at major geeks

Hi I love major geeks and well the interface is somewhat kaki and there is a lot of info to take in on most screens, One annoying thing is that I just logged in went to make a post (about 10 seconds later) and was told I needed to login again...good gosh...c'mon.

Is there a setting in user preferences or other area that enables one to stay in longer than a possible admin predefined / assigned login period...?

I probably should, it would probably resolve this. Although I never ever use these stay logged in on any forum on sites anywhere and always log / sign out of emails etc...dont trust / risk leaving accounts open and never use the remember me options.

Thought it might have been a users profile setting.
Perhaps an option where one could leave themselves logged for a default time, a set period of time maybe an hour or under perhaps and this would load with the user profile when they first log-in...perhaps wishful thinking.

Appreciate a site as busy as this needs to get rid / log off dead connections but 10 seconds later...log in again...gosh.
