On the offical Tom Petty BBS, there's an annoying troll who posts loads of anti-Obama article.

Normally I don't bother but recently, one of those rubbish articles invoked Godwin's Law, so I cited it, in a futile attempt to kill the thread.

Of course, nutjob says it doesn't apply because he was talking about something serious and that it's not a "real law."

Then he goes and deletes his posts making me look like I'm talking to myself.

@ Aimy Like I've said in other post if you're having problems with someone then your best bet would be to Print screen it. Then you can re post it. But I really don't see why you would let people get to you that way?! They are, in fact just voicing their opinions as would you. A lot of the times that's why they do it Just to get to you. and if he's removed his post then ask him to kindly remove yours so you don't look like "you're talking to yourself" if that really bothers you. You're still young and have a whole lot of bigger and more serious experiences ahead of you to venture into before getting really upset over little tidbits like this.MPO

Hey Aimee...I don't like to do this but despite our efforts to show you (by example) re: merging your 5 Tom Petty threads, (this one makes 6) merging your Mario threads, moving other threads to the proper forums, editing your posts and having some of your posts/threads deleted, we really thought you'd catch on to how things are done here.

The bottom line is we are getting quite a few complaints about the many, many threads you start that generally fall into the same category of others you have already started.

Please refrain from authoring so many senseless threads or threads that are essentially the same as ones you already have. Rather than starting a new thread, continue with one of your existing threads. If you are unsure what to do, take the time to contact one of MG's team members to ask for guidance. We are all glad to help out when and where we can.:)

We would also rather have quality members then a quantity of members. You have the ability and potential to become one of our quality members. You just need to stop and think before jumping into things and before you know it, you will be a valued member here.:major

I must caution you though, if your current style continues there will be consequences so please, take some time to sit back, observe and learn. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, feel free to PM me at your convenience.

    Thank you!
    AbbySue:)
