Annoying popup everytime i start IE..help

First off I wanna say I find this website to be very useful and I'm glad it was recommended to me by a friend.....My problem is that most everytime I start IE, a random popup ad loads up also so i end up having a window on my home page and another window with a random popup from ads1.revenue.net. It also pops up randomly every 10 minutes or so even if I'm not surfing the web. I've got ad aware, ads gone installed and spybot , but they can't seem to stop it! Can you recommend anything to me...thanks! I'm running Windows 98 SE

If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.
