I'm using windows xp sp2 and I frequently have an error message that pops up when I close internet explorer (version 7.0.5730.11).
"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

    AppVer: 7.0.5730.11 ModName: ntdll.dll
    ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 00001010 .............."

I usually don't have any problems until trying to close the window. I don't show any problems with basic checks for viruses, spyware etc.

    Any suggestions?

I am getting exactly the same error re NTDLL.EXE when closing down IE& which I just downloaded to my daughter's PC. very annoying although it doesn't seem to cause any other issues, just have to close down the error box. Surfing on the web I see a lot of references to this but ZERO solutions. see attached snag-it of error msgs from Microsoft.

would be very nice to get some help on this, otherwise I'm gonna do an XP repair/upgrade and go back to IE6. It is depressing trying to find Microsoft support for issues like these. You would think that with all the $$ we spend supporting their products that they would be totally on top of these issues?

    thnx, bo bo bolinski:D
