Hello everyone, I recently bought a kodak easyshare camera and I installed the program that came with it. After trying it I uninstalled it because it was just like others I'm using already to view pictures. Now when I log on I get this window saying: Error loading
    C:\PROGRA~2\Kodak\EasyShareSetup\$REGIS~1\Registration_8.2.30.1.sxt

I don't think is malware, and is not affecting anything in my pc, is just annoying to look at it every time windows start. How do I get rid of it? I uninstalled it so I'm not trying to open it just pops up.
    Thanks in advance.

Yes, that kodak software can be annoying, and unnecessary.

It either loaded into your autoruns or maybe added an active service.

Download startup standalone from HERE. See if there is any reference to Kodak in the start up programs, if yes, disable/delete.

I think that will do it, if not, from a run box type services.msc. See if and disable if any references are made to Kodak. :wave:wave:wave

Brandypeppy I downloaded startup standalone and it did not find anything
related to Kodak. I also tried services.msc and I must have read the entire
thing 3 times just to make sure I didn't miss it and nothing there either related
    to Kodak.
Any thing else you can think of I can do.
    Thanks.

Might try re-installing the EasyShare software and then using Revo Uninstaller to un-install it.

As plastidust said, you can try reinstalling the software and then use the Revo program to uninstall. Delete ONLY the items that it highlights.

Then there is Winpatrol, http://majorgeeks.com/WinPatrol_d3380.html, check the box on the startup tab that says "Display Secret Startup Locations". Look under that and the other tabs for ANY reference to Kodak, and disable/remove these.

I've been through this Kodak deal myself, some years ago, and I remember it was a pain to get rid of.

I recently bought a new camera myself, a Vivatar. It came with a CD, along with instructions that you need to be connected to the Internet to install the software. Right, no way in any place will that CD EVER get into my computer!!

I can transfer and manage the pics just fine without it! :wave:wave

Thanks Plastidust and Brandypeppy, Revo found where it was. I didn't even have to re-install the easyshare program. I use hunter mode and I choose to open the folder where it was. It opened sys32\task and I saw it there so I deleted it.
    Thanks for the help guys!!!!
