I have been searching for a solution to this too. I disabled it some time ago, but have never got rid of the popups.

Spyware Nuker detects it but is not free. Does anyone know if this is a safe and reliable programme?

Spyware Nuker was on the list of rogue antispyware programs but has now been removed. Please see the site below and the note that it has along with Spyware Nuker.

So sypwarewarrior says Spyware Nuker is safe and effective and no longer lists the latest version as rogue software, but adds that this does not mean that they recommend it.

Has anyone actually used it?

Personally, I wouldnt use it. I would stick with Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, SpySweeper and Microsoft AntiSpyware for detection and removal.

Never used it and wouldnt use it to be honest as there are many better ones.

Well I took your advice and didn't pay for SpyNuker. I did download the free trial of spysweeper and also MSN giant antispyware.

Eventually zipzappromos has gone. I did get the-best-promos after that to start with and I think this must be related.

I can't be sure which program dealt with it in the end but it is likely to have been one of the two above.

 

Currently no obvious problems, haven't seen a popup for over a week! Nice to be rid of it, long may it last.... I am doing everything you have suggested to stay safe and protected.
