I just did a complete back up of my hard drive (True Image Version 9). I stored it on a seperate external hard drive. It divided itself into three folders (Backup 1, Backup 2 and Backup 3).
If I need to do a restore, which do I choose? Thanks, David

I use Acronis 8 so I'm not exactly sure if 9 works the same, but my image (backup) is but one entire entity not divided into 3 sections.

After selecting "Create Image" and then advancing to "Image Archive Splitting" did you select "Automatic" or "Fixed Size"? On "Automatic" and if you are backing to an external HDD as I do, it should create only 1 backup. If "Fixed Sixe" >> "DVD" was selected then Acronis will divide the image into sizes that will fit on a DVD (4.7GB) even if the image is placed on an HDD. This is so later you can burn the image to DVD.

Is this the first image you have created or have created 2 images before this one?

I would say if this is your first and only image you have created, if you need to restore, you will have to select all three images listed on you external HDD.

I could be wrong, like I said, I use Acronis 8 and 9 may be different altogether.

Not sure about the "automatic" thing but will check next time. Thanks for the reply!

Just checked- it was set on automatic yet it split the backup into 3 folders. Anyone know what I need to do if I have to do a restore?
