another ALC883 problem

Hello,

I have MSI MEDIA LIVE with integrated ALC883 by realtek, WIN XP SP2, driver installed. And no sound Only from Realtek HD Audio Manager, audio I/O - test or in 3D audio Demo.

In another app. - shows dialog window - NO AUDIO Device, no mixer dev etc.

In device manager - sound vid and game contr. :audio codecs, Legacy audio driver, Legacy Video capture driver, media control devices, RelatekHD audio, Video codecs ...

 

Is Realtek showing a ? or !

In Device Manager>System Devices, do you see the MS UAA Bus driver or Realtek HD Audio Controller?

Check that Windows Audio Service is started.
Go to Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services
Scroll down the list of services until you find the Windows Audio service.
Right click on it and choose Properties.
Make sure it is set to Automatic and Start is checked.
