This time I saw IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and something about a device driver. Happened as I was beginning to play an MP3 in Winamp.

Temperatures seem normal, all drivers are up-to-date, will do Windows Updates tomorrow.

Oh, should mention that there's mysteriously no crash dumps (although logging's enabled on the computer) and that the music seems to be skipping now. Believe likely culprit to be audio drivers, if any drivers. But this is first time it happened at all on this computer.

I didn't get to see, it rebooted too fast.

    You're in Vista, right?

Go to your Control Panel, from there to System (put it in Classic View for easy navigation), and go to your "Advanced System Settings". In there, go to the Advanced tab, and go to "Startup and Recovery". In there, uncheck the box next to "Automatically restart". Next time it blue-screens it will stay up and let you read it. :)

Disclaimer: I'm on my XP computer right now, so I had to do that from memory. Some details may be off. Sorry. :)

It hasn't happened since, so it may be a one-time thing...

Another clue: I just opened up Winamp and played music. And in the background UAC, popped up on me so I switched to it and pressed accept.

What happened with the Blue Screen, I was turned away and heard the audio going funky so I turned back and saw it.

Could the UAC cause a blue screen of death? Google's not very helpful. (Although sometimes I wish I got something like this!)

I have never seen UAC causing a blue-screen crash on my Vista computer, but that doesn't mean it's not impossible. It only means I've never seen it. :)

Try playing music with another app and see if it happens again? If not, then it's something in Winamp.
