I use Orca as my browser and can't retain cookies. I have to sign in to everything.
Is this a setting in Orca, or is it a setting in my control panel?
I have looked in both, but can't find any settings to check to accept cookies.
I use XP as my OS. Prolly not looking in the right place.
This just started a couple days ago, and I have not unchecked anything to make it do this.
    Thanks

Seems the browser is Mozilla Firefox based, so I would imagine you go to Edit in the toolbar at the top of the browser, choose Preferences, Privacy, check accept cookies from sites. Seems the browser has quite a bit added on so that is just a first step. I use about a half dozen Mozilla based browsers, but haven't tried that one.

Look for Clear Records in Tools>Orca Browser Options Then make sure "clear all selected each time Orca is closed" box is not checked.

Nothing in either one of those ideas has anything about cookies. All it said was clear records.
In browser options, it has nothing about cookies...
    I have looked and re-looked...
    Something has to be there....

OK, found it in browser options, but it's unchecked for clearing upon exiting.
Can there be something else that causing the problem?

This is their help guide and it says that Clear Records should include options of which ones to delete. The option that would be of interest to you would be one that says "Clear records each time Orca is closed" because if it is active it would be the one that is deleting your cookies.

Another possibility would be if you run CCleaner it might be deleting Orca cookies.

I have unchecked everything and it still does not store them.
And I have ccleaner, but have not run it in a long time.
I may have to go to support for Orca.

OK, I was told there is a folder in my computer/documents/user etc that stores cookies... that folder is not here.
How could it have went poof?
Can I create a new one?

Since it is Mozilla based take a look in Start>Run>type in %appdata%
In the folder that opens look around for something related to Avant or Orca.

I'm just guessing from the info you provided and have not checked for the exact location of the folder...

OK,, back again,,, Avant (orca) told me to back up and then delete the orca folder.
I tried to do this, but it said I can't delete because cookies is being used by another program.
So maybe here lies the problem. Why would another program be using the cookies, and how do I find out what it is?
