Another keyboard problem -

Having had the problem with my HP Pavilion keyboard just before Christmas, (I am going to have to buy a new keyboard), my other HP keyboard has just gone wrong. I decided, as it had not been used for a few weeks to give it a clean with an antiseptic wipe, and now when I press an S it brings up the save as menu, or the W it brings up the Windows button equivalent. I though I had done stickey keys, but have disabled them but still have the problem. Help, urgent please. I havent any more computers left!

Maybe a stuck ctrl key. Try tapping both ctrl keys a few times to see if one seems stuck then try the S key again to see if it still brings up save.

Otherwise, just let the keyboard dry overnight and give it another try.

 

Thanks Sach2 - I have been scanning google for answers too, and tried the ctrl and fn keys but nothing happened. I then saw another suggestion which was to go to the device manager and uninstall the keyboard driver, and then reinstall it. And yes that worked fine and I am actually using the computer now.
