Another Mysearchnow Hijacking

Hey, I have a bit of an issue, i have just recieved the lovely gift of a hijacker known as mysearchnow, well thats at least the web page i am taken to. It also comes up with free emotions, etc.. any help in fixing this would be much appreciated. Oh, i also ran throught many of the adware scans, and came up with no good results. thanks for any help.

 

Did you follow the exact procedure in the Stickies link?

I STRONGLY suggest you follow the advice in the stickies first, but to manually remove it go to Add/Remove in Control Panel and uninstall "My Search Bar" and "Fun Web Products Easy Installer" if listed.

Reset your home page if it has been changed and remove the following Registry entries if listed,

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\clsid\{014da6c9-189f-421a-88cd-07cfe51cff10}

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\clsid\{014da6cd-189f-421a-88cd-07cfe51cff10}

Again, I strongly suggest you read all the advice in the stickies links.

If you are not comfortable hacking your registry, you could try this tool:

OmegaKillerSM v1.2

Place it in its own safe folder - C:\Progam Files\OKSM and run it Twice.
Let us know if it does the job.

And, as Insomniac noted, it still is a good idea to run through this Cleanup Tutorial:
READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

It will flush out a lot of other crap that may be on your computer
