Another Newbie Confused

Hello to Everyone

This is a great site folks....

All I really wanted to do was to get the latest version of Media Player 11. Microsoft said I had the 2002 version.... So I loaded Media Center 2005 with rollup 2. (Licensed copy to me from DELL.) I think its "overlaying" on 2002 ver. Now Microsoft will not download any updates - 59 of them!!! - they all fail to load. I'm running IE7 Ok.

Of course I can not lose any of my files...

I'm running a Pentium 3.02 DELL 1 gig MEM

What do I do or which forum should I go to.
