I had a Audio recording program called AVS audio *something*,
what it did was record all sound in my pc. I used it for recording guitarplay etc.
But when it crashed all of the sudden my speakers didnt work anymore, same with my microphone input.

I've tried reinstalling vista on my pc, didnt work.
I've updated my drivers, though i dont think the probem was there.

Do you have any idea how to fix this?
I'd love to hear from you! =D

Thanks a bunch for replying, but doesn't reinstalling vista entirely do drivers too automatically?

I've tried it anyways and it didnt work :s

I've got this problem since that program crashed,
can't it be that the program made some bridge between all audio and the speakers to be able to record it or something like that?
and that the program crashing destroyed that brigde?

I don't know i'm no ITer know not much of computers, just speculating:p

But i need my audio back, i want to record stuff:cry
Help would be very much appreciated! =D

Not if there are chips on the motherboard. To install those bits for the hardware to work, you need to track down the model of your motherboard and search for drivers for it.

Okey, i think what you ment is a *chipset*?
I checked the Acer website and downloaded the chipset driver, installed it, reinstalled my audio and VGA driver. still no sound :(

Maybe i installed the wrong driver? :s

    Chipset-MCP67M_1311_Vista32_with LAN67.72_WHQL
    VGA_Nvidia_V7.15.11.6749(WHQL)_Vista_x86
    Audio_Realtek_V6.0.1.5523

I've attached a belarc advisor file.
Could you please check for me if i installed the right drivers?
And if i did the wrong ones could you please tell me which should be installed?

    Thanks in advance

Make sure you run the updated for Vista.
The original OP System is toast.
The updates pretty much reload a fixed OP System.

    Start Menu...All Programs...Windows Update.
Also, in control panel there is a Icon called windows update.
Open that, choose change settings, and make sure "Install updates
automatically" is checked. Original Vista is garbage without the major
updates that pretty much reinstall a fixed operating system ;).
