Another Proggie rec - for iPod

Heya all,

While reading a thread on iPod's dirty little secret I was reminded of a neat little program i like to use with my iPod for windows that i didn't see listed on the majorgeeks.com site. Thought it might be appreciated.

the problem was i didn't like the musicmatch software that came with iPod and that i thought was the only program that could interface with it (they give you the impression on purpose i'm sure) Anyway, there's a program that's a lot less bloated, more efficient, and just doesn't have gui i don't like.

EphPod

Which not just syncs your ipod as you want to, but will also read winamp playlists, allow you to load Outlook contacts into your ipod and make your own additional contacts, as well as allow you to load ebooks and news into the ipod to read later. Plus with the setup for ephpod, your ipod essentially becomes an external hdd whenever you plug it into your computer, one which you can read/write to without any programs.

The only downside i've encountered with the program is that it won't automatically make tags for your mp3s that are missing them, so you have to manually update and create all tags (but i do this anyway with my mp3s).
