Another Small Problem. Where Is Google Chrome Cache?

Can you tell me where the cache folder is for Google Chrome?

My cache is being glutted with entries, but Chrome itself doesn't even use them. If I return to a tab after a few minutes the whole thing has to reload. It is NOT in the cache.

If I can call up the cache with a shortcut, I'll be able to see what IS being put there. And eliminate the tons of junk.

I've had to use Chrome incognito. Otherwise, I'll get 1-2000 items DAILY in the cache. Even so, I have a lot. But incognito prevents me from the use of my security extensions. It's still glutted but not nearly as much.

Since Chrome has a habit of loading each page 3-4 times, invisibly, where might I look to find where they ARE going? Could it be the cache?

Please give me the pathway to Chrome's cache. I haven't been able to find it.
    Thanks!

    C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache
name is your user account name.

You can also use this utility to view the contents of the cache folder.
    ChromeCacheView.

All I get at "C:/Users/name/AppData" is the quarantine folder for clamwin antivirus. NADA MAS.

I downloaded the app, but the "Save As" window froze.

When I used Task Manager to end its process it did (of course, the app wasn't saved) - and it also ended the process for Chrome and all the tabs I had up, including your response. Cute, huh?
Though Chrome's application had ended, all its processes in Task Manager remained. Chrome wouldn't relaunch till I ended all 15 of them.

    I guess I've got problems.

Now I know why I couldn't find the Cache. I also remember now that one of the hacker's tricks was to usurp one of the AppData folders (there are several) and use another one instead of the right one. I haven't been able to find which AppData folder they are using, except one which does seem to have a lot of application stuff in it. That's probably what they are using, but it belongs to them now, not to my operating system. I didn't dare try to move the data. Didn't know which AppData folder was right.

I really don't expect you to be of much help on this, but if you think you can, I'd be grateful. It's a very sophisticated hack. But my important data is already safe elsewhere. No worries.
    Thanks again.

Go to Control Panel > Folder Options > View and unhide all files & folders.

    Close Chrome.
Download the app with another browser.

If you use google chrome as your browser download the extension called Click&Clean and in the options, you can clean the cache automatically when you close the browser. you have to download the extension manually though as it has been removed in chrome store.
