    Hi!

Ok, I promise, I'll stop posting my newbie questions for a while, they just seem to be coming to me all the sudden, lol.

What's the difference between NotePad and WordPad?
    Thanks!

Wordpad is fairly similar to Notepad, but gives more options in formatting text, eg. bold & italics text, changes to font, size, colour of text, create bulleted lists, center and justify paragraphs. Wordpad is a simple form of the full blown MS Word.

Notepad is a good choice for very basic text documents that require no formatting ( see above ), also used for HTML.

Notepad is used to generate basic ASCII text notes; Wordpad is used to generate Rich-Text Format (RTF) documents (bold, typefaces, etc).

Thanks Halo and SoloTraveller, great explanations!
    :D

So, WordPad could be used instead of WordPerfect for simple documents?
    Thanks!

Yes, Wordpad is basically a very basic word processor.

It's like Micro$$oft Word, or WordPerfect, but with less features.
