another vista wireless problem

running a vista laptop and it can connect to my AP just fine. pulls an address and will resolve but not actually ping the outside(google). the AP is ok, i can use other xp machines on it as well as get addresses from our dhcp server. i'm not very familiar with vista, so i dont know if there are settings i have to adjust for it to be able to get to the internet. I believe the AP is unsecured. (i didnt set it up so dont blame me ) any ideas on what it could be that is preventing internet access?

 

k nevermind. the problem was a switch port not being able to access anything external for some reason.
