    Right here is my situation..

I have an antec 900 gaming case which comes with 4 fans all with 4 pin molex connectors and tiny fan switches that are hard to get to....

Now i wanted a fan controller to make it easier but as they are molex connectors it made it difficult as not many fans come like this...i decided to go for the akasa fan controller pro and buy some 3 to 4 pin molex connnectors as pictured below...

Now when i connected everything up turned the controller on, it displayed temperature but would not give me any readings on the fan speeds (rpm) or let me control their speeds..

    Why??

So i found a fan that had a 3 pin adapter and connected it directly to the fan controller without going thru the cables i bought and it worked..it displayed the fan speeds!!

Why wont them cables alow me to control and view the fan speeds!? I thought thats what they were for??

Would these set of cables make any difference?

Forgive me if I point out what is obvious to you OK. That a sweet case buy the way. OK you know that to get a true rpm signal from any fan, you need to have the 3wire fans. The 3rd wire being the TACH (rpm) signal wire. And I dont know if this is the same situation or not, but I recently built a system for a dude who bought 3-or4 cheepo fans. They had nice blue led's making them look real good and a small in wire speed adjuster. One of these was to be his CPU fan, which does not need to be slowed down, especially buy a novice. Plus buy being in wire, the whole fan was a mess of wires. Just an eyesore. I cut out the adjuster, got out the solidering iron and rerouted the wires as if it were a standard 3 wire fan. The result was a much cleaner looking fan. The moral of this story is, (after clipping out the adjuster) simply connecting the 2 clipped wire ends was not going to proprly control the fan. It was the way they had wired in the adjuster, it was a mess. And way past necessary. My point is that if your fans are all 3wire, and your 3rd wires (all wires +,-,RPM ) are all wired right. Then the equippied speed adjuster could be fouling you up. Through some kind of unexpected feedback. Also you might test each fan on its own 3 prong plug like the chassis fan plug, the check in bios to see that the fan is reading properly. One fan freaking out could have allfans wired with it freaking out. I dont know if this will help but good luck
