    Hi,
I just put my old PC to sleep and bought a new one (HP Pavilion Elite HPE-127c) it's a great machine. My question is that it came installed with Nortons Secruity Suite 2010,it seems to work very good and uses very little resources. On my old PC I had NOD32 which is a great program,I going to try out Nortons for there 60 day free trail. Should I stay with Nortons or go back to NOD32 or would you guys suggest something better. I want a Anti-Virus Security Suite Program.

If you haven't paid for NOD32, you might as well try out Nortons for the free trial. Historically, it's been a resource hog, but I believe I've noted a few people saying it's gotten better as far as that goes. I use NOD32 antivirus and am happy with it.

Just make sure that if, at the end of the trial period, you decide to go with something else, you completely uninstall the Norton using their symantec uninstaller. You'll want to make sure it is totally gone from your system.

That's a very individual decision and you could easily get 20 or more good lines of advice on this.
If you haven't seen this, I refer a lot of people to it:

AVG now comes with a full, or fuller, suite. And it has fallen out of favor here because of this, but it's what you want.

I think the important thing is that you are proactive about this and as a result, you'll probably never end up posting a thread for help in the Malware forum. :wave:wave:wave

I prefer Avira, and Comodo as an anti-virus and firewall respectively. Both can be free and both can be paid for. Simple, and effective.

Go here to scan your programs for those which are outdated and may have security problems. I bring this up because new computers often come with outdated software, at least in my experience.
