Anti-virus updates

Hi. I hope this is the right place to post this message. I have Anti-Vir Personal Edition 6.029.09.09, and I've been trying to update the program since Friday (1-30-2004). Everytime I start the internet updater, and start to download the updates, the program just sits there and does nothing even though it tells me it's trying to open the file on the server. Now, I've heard the server is down. If that's the case, then how long will the server be down before I can get my virus definition updates and a couple of other updates out there? If there's something else wrong with this program, then I would appreciate some help. Thanks.

Sounds like you'll just have to wait it out till the servers back up. Check the website till then

Please note that the server at anti-vir is being upgraded at this time
Remember to apply the following when you are updating from there website
Alternatively, experienced users may choose to download the virus definition file (vdf) only.

Please notice, that the .vdf file version must always match the program version. Otherwise, the program will no longer work!

Update possibilities

In order to update your AntiVir Personal Edition to the latest version, please use the built-in Internet Update Wizard (highlighted in red).
The program automatically detects whether the entire program or only the virus definition file needs to be downloaded.
