Hi right now I have Avast free version and works great, but I need an antispyware program and reading in the sticky in here are we supposed to only have 1 installed? I mean I will download spywareblaster, but should I only use that? or can I use malwarebytes and spywareblaster at the same time? thanks.

    Greetings, SpartanWarrior.

I see no reason why avast! and SpywareBlaster cannot coexist peacefully (by the way: the newer avast! versions also contain antispyware algorithms/databases).

I only use the free/trial version of Malwarebytes as a manual cleaner, but the program as an online scanner might also mesh well with avast! - I'm sure others will jump in with experiences/suggestions.

You can run Avast (free), SpywareBlaster and Malwarebytes (paid) at the same time with no problem. I did that on a few XP computers in our home before I replaced Avast with MS Security Essentials.

I've been using Avast Free for several years and it seems to work fine with MalwareBytes and SuperAntispyware free edition. No problems here.

I use AVG, MalwareBytes scanner, and I have Kasperky's TDSSKiller on hand for good measure.

Seems to work pretty well so far...

I'm happy with it because I haven't replaced it with anything else. This is on computers running XP and Win 7.

  8. Spyware Blaster doesn't count, because it doesn't run on your computer. You use it to immunize against malware, and then you leave it alone till next week.

The other day I was running avast!, Zemana Antikeylogger, and UnHack Me at the same time with no difficulty.

I used Avast some time ago but I didn't like it. Today I use NOD32 and Malwarebytes. Their functionality is enough for me.
