It may be way too late for me but help is needed if you can.

I got this Antivirus Action thing goin on. So I went online to find a possible fix. Now I got bigger problems. All of the sites to remove told me to shut down hit F8 and run in "safe mode with networking". So I did that and now the computer won't even fire up in any mode.

When I toggle to and hit "safe mode with networking", or any other of the listed options, it begins to start and then goes right back to the same screen that had all the listings of "start in safe mode" or "start normal". I have restarted, unplugged and almost threw it across the street (ha ha) but that safe mode start screen is the only thing I can get to come up. Did I lose it all?:cry

Hi Squibby, I have moved your thread because until you are up and running again I cannot assist with malware removal. So wait for some advice from the guys and gals here and then go back to the malware forum once you are able to run scans. :)

If you cannot boot in any mode ( safe or normal mode ) and you cannot run any of the READ & RUN ME there is not much we can do for you except suggest what is in the below quote box

Thank you very much. You confirmed what I already figured would be the result but I had to ask. I am going that route. I will keep you informed and ask more questions I'm sure. :-D

When you say Antivirus Action, do you mean that you have some malware or that your antivirus program caused a problem? If it was your AV program, what are you running? If the av program screws up, there is usually some sort of fix posted.
