Antivirus choice

    My macafee subscription recently ran out and I downloaded AntiVir Classic PE it has caught several things Macfee missed. Should I stick with AntiVir Classic or is a different Antivir on this website better? If I should stick with the Antivir or another one on here should I kill my Macafee virus scanner and if so is there a "best" way of doing it. (ie. pour acid on that section of my harddrive... JK!)

    Stop the active scan (right click the icon in the system tray - stop)
    then go to add/remove and uninstall.

    Personally, I would only use the "classic edition" of Antivir if I was on a legacy OS. The version on Majorgeeks is the other version, which is suitable for 2000/XP, IIRC.
