Hey... I was wondering if you guys could tell me what the best antivirus software on this site is... you see, my virus software just ran out and I need to either update it or get a new virus protection... And I am short of the funds, so... Yeah.... Thanks in advance....

I don't know if there is a "best". I've been using AVG for years and never had a problem. I use it in combination with Zone Alarm, Ad-Aware and Spyware Blaster and everything runs smoothly.

    Others may have different preferences.

Well, I can only say that personally I use Dr. Web Antivirus. It just makes its work and doesn't disturb me absolutely. I also used to work with Kaspersky Antivirus, but it was freezing my computer too much. In addition I use this anti-spyware software. As I know its spyware definitions updates quite frequently. But I don't know if this software is available on the site.

I use Avast and am happy with it and have had no problems! :)

I use Avast on my laptop and it works really well, with constant automatic updates, but I would also as Mr Pewty noted use antispyware also if you are not already.

We use Trend Micro for everything from desktops to e-mail. It updates up to two full days before other ones do. We have yet to be infected with any major virus in the past five years. I like to think it's me but I have to give some credit to the antivirus. I believe the home version is called PCCillian or something like that

AVG, AntiVir, and Avast are all great choices since they provide good protection even though they are free products. So you couldnt go wrong in picking one of them ;)

i really like AVG. i found it to be straightforward and user friendly and it seems to keep the bad guys out. My brother uses Avast and he says he really likes it. no personal experience with AntiVir but have heard lots of good things about it.

the stuff that MG has on their sight, at least the stuff i have used, all seems to be really good stuff. they don't support crap (well crap cleaner...but it's a good tool)
