    okay i know everyone has there only beliefs about there own AV but whats the best one i;ve gone through so many and i dont know which is the best i currently have avira cause someone on MG said it was very impressive but others saying its crappy can someone please send me in a good direction

    i had that and i found that it wasent enough for me cause it did really notify me of certain things and the scan file option took to long and it just wasent what i wanted

    Scanning every file for viruses takes time - how long is determined by your system, not the software application.

    What "certain things" were you looking for, since you seem to have specifics in mind we might be able to help you if we know what preference you have.

    is it a system hog cause i know some are and that really annoys me considering i dont have the best specs i only have 512 ram so i want it to run smoothly and i dont want it to run slow because of an AV

    I agree with Lev! Having used Avast for a couple of years and never having any problems, I would recommend it to anyone! Everyone's opinion varies, and I use what works for me. :)
