Any decent FREE Internet Security Sofware?

Which windows version are you using? as this will help narrow some options down as some are not compatible with say Windows Vista.

 

Hi No, dont be sorry as it just narrows the field down of choices, so it will be a question we ask often if not posted as some softwares dont work well on other versiosn of Windows.


Which antivirus/interent security software do you have at present? as you will need to remove this before adding a new set of applications to your PC and with some software being a little awkward at times their are special removal tools as in Nortons one, to fully remove the old software but we can advise on that too.


The below are my favorites and others will have their own suggestions too to good software to use to protect yourself, the guide I posted has great steps to take and will ahve all the links to the downloads to the ones I'm posting below, so you can get them easily and all are FREE.


Avast Home for antivirus
PC Tools for Firewall
BoClean Antimalware for resident malware blocking
Spywareblasterto aid in blocking known sites that could infect your PC, this applications doesnt run in the background but needs updating say once a week for the updated list of known bad websites.

and you could add as a on demand scanner for malware this one SuperAntispyware.
