There is a super nice soul that sent me an Inno3D GTX470 from Europe. Are there any issues between an EU and NA card that I should know about before I install it?

You got that card sent to you for free? rolleyes

I don't think there is any issues. Just install it and it should work.

Is that hardforum in the background?

There is no difference between EU and NA it is just a marketing tag.

Here's the new puppy all installed and showing off pushing 12K PPD ATM.:-D The thing runs fairly hot @ stock and the upper %60 fan range @ auto is a tad noisy but what does one want more for free eh?!!!:p:-D I'll gladly live with it!:major

Too bad I can't get both cards running for now but I'll take the 12K PPD from the 470.;) No more :bangheadfor tonight. It's Happy Hour!:drink:celebrate:dancer

One thing I forgot to mention is that the 470 is a full inch shorter than the 260.

Well, I got some rain on my parade today.:cry My Corsair TX750W ain't got enough oomph for both those cards.:( Thankfully it didn't do any fireworks etc., it just shut down.:) That's what one pays for in a quality PSU eh? ;) It doesn't blow everything up!:cloud9

I thought that the 750 was enough for both but I'm wrong. Bleh! Time to start thinking of a 1KW or better and/or getting a second PSU to power my goal of 3 Fermi's in this box.

So, I got the 470 crunching along very nicely thank you very much. Frankie Jr. is just sending out hums ATM.:)

Augie, nice setup! How many PPD are you getting off just the 470? I might be looking at a new video card once I get the deer rifle sorted out. :-D

I wonder. I saw one solution was to boost a voltage to 1.35 if one is running more than one GPU. Anyways, good night from here.:):wave

12K PPD @ stock speeds. However, hot enough to poach an egg at the exhaust.;) Ouch!

One pays for a better warranty as well... ;) Corsair will probably swap that for you if you ask them. It never hurts to have a spare PSU on a shelf.

No no Mims, the PSU is working just fine with the 470, Seems like a BIOS voltage needs to be upped before I add the 260 back in. I ain't doin' that tonight either. ;) HIC :wine

Well, the TX750 can't cut the mustard as the machine won't even boot now with both cards installed. After doing some research today, I see that I'm woefully underpowered as the cards take 74A whereas the 750 'only' puts out 60A on a single rail.rolleyes I'm quite surprised that both cards even worked the first time!(that's before I loaded them up with work).

Time for some more powah!:strong At least I can transplant the 750 to my Q6600 rig which is just squeaking by with an Antec 500W powering a pair of OC'd 9800GTs.

So you'll get two upgrades for the price of one? Not a bad deal... :)

Actually, it will be a triple header as the Antec will go into my AMD X2 rig which is currently just collecting dust and which will be donated locally. Too bad that I gave my 7600GT and 6200TC graphics cards away but I'm sure the agency will find a suitable PCI-E card to match the rig for some young person to make their day.:)
