Any Extensions To Block Videos Opening In A New Tab When I Scroll Past Them?

On some sites (news sites, for example), when I scroll past an uninteresting video to get to content I want to read, the video will open in a small window on the bottom of my screen and I have to switch it off or it just rambles on.
Is there any extension that will block this? (I use multiple browsers, some chromium based, some firefox based, almost anything but Microsoft Edge, so any extension for any browser will work fine.)

I have checked the settings on my browsers and can't easily find one to stop this from happening, by the way. If such a setting exists, I have missed it.

    Post the browsers you've checked.

Brave. Firefox. Vivaldi. Pale Moon. Chromium. Duckduckgo Browser. Opera.
I won't use either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, by the way. Google because of privacy issues and Edge because, as an autistic adult, I detest the fact that it is forced on all Windows users.

Firefox: Settings and type autoplay in the search box.

When you click on settings aside of autoplay, you get this

audio is turned off by default. You can block audio and video. (Choose another selection using the down arrow).

Vivaldi: still doesn't allow you to disable auto for videos.

I only run a very old version of Palemoon so I can't help with that. I may have Brave on mobile but not on any PC. I also don't have Chromium, DDGbrowser nor Opera installed on anything.
