Any Nickelback fans?

I noticed a similarity long ago, but this proves it, they recycled their 2001 hit How You Remind Me and their 2003 hit song Someday, turn your speakers up and listen closely..

Nah... i'm not a big Nickelback fan.

All of their songs sound the same. In my opinion.

 

Wait a second now...I think I'm behind the times. Am I supposed to hate Nickelback like I'm supposed to hate Creed now?

It's SO hard to keep up with what band I'm supposed to hate according to people online...

 

Nickelback is a one hit wonder, per album.

All the others songs are so...yeah, bad.

Seriously though, Nirvana helped build the Grunge scene.

Nickelback is a hasbeen/never will be.

Everything they do has been done already, with more skill and...variety!

 

Their album Curb wasn't that bad. It had more of a grunge sound.

 

3rd vote for *The Darkness*... this guy could potentially match the vocals of Freddy Mercury

as for Nickelback... thats some funny stuff. But i'll give them credit for 1 decent song "Leader of Men" wasnt bad

 

I have a question that has been plaguing me... what is the proper term for the kind of alternative music that's become really popular as of lately... it sounds like retro rock to me... i'm specifically referring to bands like:

Queens Of The Stone Age
The Strokes
The Hives
The White Stripes

etc, etc...

sounds like these bands are trying to mimic older bands from the 80's when i hear them... not necessarily in a bad way but you can tell where they influences come from...

 

Like the Transplants etc? (I like them) "Diamonds and Guns" (Think the Garnier shampoo commercial, but listen to the whole song)
15 year old music man son says it is "New Age Punk".

Whatever.

One sad thing about Nickelback is that millions of people buy the albums and think it's good music.

Horrible, horrible music.
