:D Possible hopeless cause, but worth a shot:

I am rather insanely trying to install PageMaker 6.0 onto Windows XP. I have contacted Adobe direct and they assured me that it can't be done, and I will have to purchase 7.0 version and toss the 6.0 into the trash.

I hate to waste money, and I hate supporting large, fat corporations like Microsoft who think they should build operating systems that don't accommodate anything born two weeks ago or older.

If anyone knows of a way to get around this, and had any luck installing without the upgrade, I would greatly appreciate information.

Thanks in advance and geeks rock.

This program is about 10 years old and made for Win31 and Win95, recall there is a saying about not beating a dead horse.

If you cannot run the install within WinXP Compatibility mode, then I guess you have to dual boot, so you have to restart the computer every time you want to use pagemaker 6.0.

There is a rumor that ver. 6.5 is able to run on XP, so maybe you can post an ad in the local newspaper/forum/qxl-auction about wanting to buy a legal PageMaker 6.5 for 15$ or similar.
