Any recommends from NYC Geeks?

Alright, so I'm headed to NYC tomorrow. Flying into La Guardia and staying a little east of the Lincoln Tunnel.

Can any residents or visitors recommend some places to see? I'd be interested in a nice place to take my girlfriend to dinner.

That's like an impossible question. There are literally tons. I live outside philly, but go into manhattan a lot. Half the time (ok, most of the time), I can't remember where I've been.

As far as seeing:

Broadway shows (for absolutely sure): Avenue Q and Spamalot are great. If you are into art...the metropolitan museum. Shopping...walk down 5th ave. Go to Central park for sure if you are going with your girl. There's tons.

Nice restaurants:

My favorite: Bond 45 If you are staying in midtown, which it sounds like you are, this would be very convenient. It's on 45th, right off of Broadway.

Spice Market is also very good. It's in the meat packing district (down around 12th or 14th)

Alma de Cuba is great although I can't remember where it is.

To be honest you can get anywhere very very easily in a cab...they are all over the place. Literally

I'm actually going to be there on Saturday night for my birthday. We are going to be in Brooklyn out to dinner.

Have an awesome time! You really can't go wrong and getting around is a breeze.

first thing to do is go to a bank and change your money over to American . i think you are at $1.04 to our $.96 now . rockafella Plaza is nice . Just about any restaurant you go to is going to be good . The Hotel should have tons of brochures for you .
