Any Suggestions?

I want to monitor a single program to see which files and/or registry entries are changed by it when I alter settings within the program. Therefore, I need some kind of process monitor which can do this for me. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find anything like this so far and I want to ask if anybody here knows of some software which can help me out.

Note:
-I DO NOT want to monitor a specific file for changes since I do not necessarily know which files the program accesses.
-I DO want to DISCOVER and monitor which files/reg entries a program changes as a result of the program options being altered.

So, any suggestions from you guys would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

I have looked through multiple sections including monitoring, diagnostics, security, and registry, but unfortunately I cannot see any software which can monitor a specific program to see which files/reg entries it alters.

There is software which can monitor dll usage, and software for monitoring specific file changes, but as stated in the OP this is not what I am attempting to do.

Of course, I may have missed something, so feel free to point me in the right direction but I don't believe there was anything suitable listed.

I think the teatimer option in Spybot S&D will monitor any registry changes.

Ok, thanks for the suggestions. I ended up trying RegMon which did allow me to find out the info I wanted, partly because the program being monitored used the registry exclusively for its settings. No .ini's or anything.

Afaik, Spybot S&D (which I already use) only intercepts system critical registry changes.
