any thoughts? Speakers.....

I have the Klipsch THX 4.1 sound system hooked up to a mad dog entertainer 7.1 sound card. I used to be able to listen to everything with all 4 speakers all the time. Now, I run the envy audio deck thing, and can hear "Front left Front right rear left and rear right" independantly. However, when I play games, or listen to stuff it only comes out of front 2 speakers. Microsoft has a test file that plays the front left front right rear left etc and works fine. Must be a setting somewhere, but I can't find it. Any thoughts?

 

me think that your games dont support more than 2 channels?
correct me if im wrong. ive never used more than more 2 channels of sound

 

Make sure sound hardware acceleration is enabled in the games (it isn't by default on most games, I think)

 

this happens in windows, and on like Mp3's as well...
