Any Video Card Recommendations?

Hey guys, can you recommend any PC Video Capture Cards? I'm looking to capture video + audio from games consoles using a basic Scart lead: yellow/white/red. I have included a dxdiag file, just so you can look it over and double check I won't get one too advanced or something. Looking for as much high quality as I can get without spending TOO much money.
BTW, I have a 256mb Graphics Card and a (decent?) sound card already.

I have tried various Scart to USB leads, however the quality is quite poor, and they are not able to handle PAL 60HZ, only NTSC 60HZ. Capturing in PAL 50hz is poor lol.

I would eventually have to look into getting a composite HD video card I suppose, but a lot of my older consoles simply don't support them.....

 

My experience with standard def. video capture has been similar to yours. Using a basic yellow/white/red to USB capture device, the end video quality resembles (at best) a VHS tape recorded in EP (6 hour) mode.

Doing true HD video capture isn't cheap. At minimum, you'll need a higher-end dual core (preferably quad core) CPU/board combo with at least 4GB memory and (depending on how much video you plan to store/edit) a minimum of a 500GB drive.

Although I can't afford one yet, my research shows the best HD video capture device is the Hippauge PVR 1212:

The PVR 1212 uses 5-cable composite video (R/G/B plus W/R audio) to capture HD. Since it technically does a digitial-to-analog-to-digital transfer, it legally gets around the copy protection technology built in to HDMI ports and cables.
