any video converter question

Hi, I installed the program any video converter from here at MG. It works fine except for one thing. seems that the videos that I download from youtube with the mp4 extension show up in the youtube folder in the program but don't show in the list when I click add video. they also aren't displayed in the AOA audio extracter program list so I can't do anything with them . Can anyone explain what goes on here. thanks. :confused

 

I use nidesoft video converter .and I think it is good. If you have some interesting , You could have a try . I konw it from http://www.nidesoft.com/video-converter.html

 

i use quick media converter it works fine just u have to edit the launguage most the time

 

Hi alontheriver . A few suggestions for you to try. When you start up
any Video Converter and search for a file set the search option for
"any files" this will sometimes help it find unknown file types. Make sure you have all the proper codecs on your machine as this can sometimes cause problems. Another trick is to associate the MP4 files with windows media player or some other player and this will sometimes help the files to appear in the program your using.
Sometimes when you download from Youtube the files say they are
MP4 but may appear in your computer as .flv files. I have had this happen myself, I think it depends on the type of downloader program your using. So you may be able to find the files by searching for .flv files in the search box. You may also want to try to move those files to a new folder which may break the association link between the download program and the files making them appear. As a last ditch effort you could try manually renaming the file extension such as ( .mp4 - to - .flv ) this can be dangerous as it can make the files unusable. I usually find though that if there is a problem you can just simply rename them to their original name and they will be alright. I hope this will help you out somewhat or at least give you some ideas to try .
