Any way to increase refresh rate on HP Pavillion zv6252?

Yes it can be set higher BUT not at the screen res your most likely using 1280x800? you can set it to 1024x768 but I doubt you like the quality of image ( blurry ) on the 15.4" screen.

Dont for one minute mean to doubt that its straining your eyes but but LCDs are not renouned for causeing eye strain ( unless stairing at them for long periods of time, something that sadly affects me in my job, but its down to not taking adequate breaks from the screen as when you are concentrating you dont blink alot causing dry eyes ) at 60hz unlike CRTs that flicker causeing eye strain at low refresh rates which is why 75hz is recomended.

Do you have a bright desktop picture?

Could be worth lowering the brightness of the screen a small bit.... without reading the manual, it should be the FN key plus F7


someone else may have a hack but I have personally not come across one.

 

Nice laptop BTW.... just read the tech specs, its similar to my Compaq R4065ea.
