I just can't believe that people fall for this garbage, but it seems every week you see or hear of someone being taken to the cleaners by these lame schemes.

I gotta go to bed...............I got a million rants Fred, but it's to late here and I don't want to get my fingers slapped for hijacking my own thread. just this one that happened earlier today:
    saleslady: that will be $6.45
me: I count out seven $1 bills and lay them on the counter
saleslady: she picks them up and counts them
me: I am putting away the rest of my bills.
me: I look up after pocketing my loose change
saleslady: she is staring at me
(now there are several people waiting in line in back of me to pay for things)
saleslady: she ASKS me: six dollars and forty five cents out of this 7 dollars?
    I gotta go to bed!

If you can't trust random, anonymous internet entities with your important financial data, who can you trust? I mean, really?

People are daft to give ANY details to any stranger, even my own ISP took the mickey out of me by taking money from my account of which they never gave me notice to beforehand.

I too dont understand how people fall for this junk, online or through the post!

My mum told me on the phone she received an offer to buy a website address something like Playstation4.com(not sure exactly). They told her she will earn thousands when the Playstation 4 comes out (when/if they make one!) because they will have to buy the web address off her! I told her she has been conned. Shes paid £40-50 for it! She dosent beleive me! I bet 1000 people have bought the same thing!

Oh well. As long as people are daft enough to fall for this crap people will be trying it on.

What gets me is do people stop for 5 seconds and ask themselves, "WHERE did they get my name and address details from in the first place?? So WHY would they need them given to them again?"

Ok, so I havent got that letter, but I have gotten many like it and it is silly and its to take advantage of the week minded. It reminds of those emails I get some sob story about a guy from africa they cant claim his money and need ME of all people to do it for him. Or the UK lottery, that always makes me laugh since I dont livein the UK,heheheh
