Anybody here speak Polish?

We had a Polish college student living with us for the summer on a work-study visa. She used an IM program called Gadu-Gadu to stay in touch with family and friends. She is home now, but we kept the program so we could stay in touch with her. Of course, all the menus are in Polish. Is there an English version of this program. Or can somebody translate the menu commands if I post them?

 

Have your Polish friend translate them.

 

Her friend is not with her anymore they said.

No joy there. For some reason, everything I try comes back "no translation."

 

Are there any wierd characters in polish? Im thinking maybe your keyboard is not set up for it...just a thought I really dont know much about it. Try googleing that was just the first hit that I looked at.

That would be great, thanks. I do think part of the problem with the translation sites is the odd characters Polish has that English doesn't. There are a few commands with no odd characters: Kontakty, Ustawienia, O Programie, Wiadomości.

 

The translator pulled up: Kontaky: Contacts. Ustawienia: Setups. O Programie: About Program. & Wiadomości: Message (Knowledge). AS for the wierd characters I bet you could find the keyboard setup somewhere??
I will let you know if I find anything.

 

They can't call her, send her a message, or even a letter? They had to have a way to contact her friend's family.

 

how about using cut+paste from character map for the strange characters?
