I'm a big Quake fan. My favourite one is Quake III Arena on the computer. Yeah it's old, but it's a classic. Anyone else?

Used to be, played back as far as Doom at lan parties and on bulletin board systems. It got a bit simplistic for me because it is non stop, high speed, or I got old ;) I prefer MMORPG's or more single player FPS's now.

I play MMORPG's as well. But it's hard to find any worth putting some good time into.

Yeah, keep bouncing to and from World Of Warcraft, hoping the expansion helps it some, I am a bit bored now.

Love Quake. i think quake 3 would have to be my favorite as well. THREE FRAGS LEFT.LOL
So since you're into MMORPG's are you going to play Quake Wars when it comes out? i've been looking at screen shots and i think it looks sweet.

Have to see it, one problem with iD is they can no longer develop a good game, just a great engine. Doom was a horrible remake, so depends on who is developing. I hope for a WoW quality game, which is now the bar all others will be measured by imho.

Sounds familiar Major. I never played Doom 1 & 2 beyond single player (didn't have a modem back then) but played Quake 1 over null link for years with my friends and later on a small network. I have to say in those 2-3 years it never got boring and always kept my adrenaline pumping. Quake 3 with ADSL was like christmas for me in 2001, but after 2 years of hardcore gaming and trying to get better and better the game lost it's appeal and I left it entirely. Having just tried the game again, it's just as much fun as it was back then only the level of skill in the (rapidly fading) community is ultra high. Still in terms of fluidity and gameplay/tactics - I STILL swear that quake 3 is untouchable even today. There will never be anything like it.
